Emotions are unique to humans and encompass varying colours attributable to different reasons. This distinguishes human beings from other species. The present book explains the logic of and the rationale behind emotions.

The book explores, if emotions, as understood, are real, natural, or merely the artificial projection of an occurrence. The book discusses reasons for attachment. It examines emotions, their significance and also how to go around them.

It can be safely assumed that emotions are based on thoughts. There are people who believe they can feel GOD, speak to Him, and even act as a translator on His behalf. And then there are others who believe this is not possible. The existence of faith stems from an expectation of miracle and miracle is synonymous with GOD.

In this context, it is vital to understand the parameters which define life. While discussing perspectives defining life, the book discusses aspects related to death. The author cites this using the premise of Bhagwad Gita wherein Lord Krishna narrates the ethos of life to Arjuna through several verses.

Altogether, the book explains and examines a range of concepts including attachment, emotions, thoughts, meditation, death and their inter-linkages. It unravels these notions and discovers the essence of living. It is a journey towards absolute freedom, through mastering thoughts and emotions.

1. Emotions: Contours and Facets

2. Questioning the GOD

3. The Fearful yet Courageous

4. Living and Loving the Dead

Dr. Vishal Dwivedi is a practicing psychologist with Ph.D. in Psychology and Masters in Yoga. Conscious of the fact that emotional and spiritual sides of an individual play a pivotal role in defining the personality traits, he has employed a unique blend of phonemes produced by Vedic Mantras and human emotions for healing purposes. The credit for his inclination towards spirituality goes to his mother Mrs. Santosh Dwivedi, who introduced him to spirituality at the tender age of five. She was instrumental in teaching him the primal essences of energy, derived from the five elements and imparting the skills of how these elements are generated, their behaviour and definition—what can be broadly classified as emotional, psychological, and physical aspects of life.

While embarking on the journey of yog and meditation, it is discernible to note that irrespective of the path or faith a person chooses, the tenets of life remain unaffected—designated as the elements. Interestingly, it is only the emotional part of the structure which can be altered and if an individual aspires to know and wishes to change the patterns of these elements, the approach has to be centered towards these elements only.

As part of the teachings advocated by his mother, the above approach should not be guided by man-made creations like language, religion, faith, systems and culture. Following this path as narrated by his mother and his extensive study and learning of the Vedas and their subsequent implementation in meditation, the author has been able to associate himself directly with the elements and the nature. Resultantly, he has developed a new technique to generate deficient hormone/chemicals, which are the primal causes of psychological or psychiatric ailments.
